Thanks to the cam construction it is extremely light to open but strong enough to close the door in every situation. The Lockwood 8014 closer can be adjusted to meet the requirements of the light opening resistance.

The Lockwood 8014 Cam Action Concealed Door Closer have been successfully fire tested up to 2 hours on fire door assemblies in accordance with Australian Standard AS1905.1:2005 - Part 1: Fire Resistant Doorsets.
